Wet Pet Food Facilities
Simmons has a wet pet food manufacturing platform with four state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities located in Siloam Springs, Arkansas; Emporia, Kansas; Pennsauken, New Jersey; and Streetsville, Ontario. These plants utilize high-speed equipment and leading-edge technologies to produce pet food in aluminum and steel cans in all currently used sizes. Additionally, Simmons has the ability to produce pet food in both pouch and plastic cup configurations. Our facilities are designed for maximum flexibility, allowing us to provide the full range of products our customers demand.
Distribution Channels
As the only wet pet food supplier with four manufacturing facilities, Simmons has the ability to allocate an order between any of our plants based on capability, product cost, material availability, freight cost, and available production capacity. Since the major retailers in the United States are increasingly multi-regional or national in scope, Simmons’ ability to serve them from four locations provides us with service and freight cost advantages compared to our competitors. We believe that the flexibility and depth of our infrastructure is such that Simmons is the only wet pet food manufacturer providing national retailers with cross-continental service and complete product lines in all significant packaging configurations.
